My background is a 38-year career in social and health care.  When I retired and had some time to spare I became involved with this group through Liza.  It has been a very rewarding experience.  I like the fact that all the money we raise goes directly to the community to fund necessities of life, and that we can see first hand what is being bought and how people are through regular skype calls.  We are extremely lucky to have David, our contact in India, to make everything happen on the ground.  It puts into perspective my own worries when confronted with this amazing group of resilient people who overcome handicap and poverty on a daily basis.  I am in awe of them!
