Every month we have two scheduled meetings that usually take place on a Sunday morning. One of the meetings is with the community. This is facilitated by our man in India, David Lima. We use skype for these meetings. David has a mobile phone camera so that we can see the community and they can see us. David then translates . No small feat as there are many people talking at once! Our other monthly meeting is with the charity volunteers, Liza, Diets, John and myself (Steve).
This week was our volunteers meeting. The minutes are taken by John who then forwards them to us immediately after the meeting. We generally start out with an update on how much money we have raised and what the current balance is. We then talk about where any funds should be spent. There are two main categories. The first is funds for food and medicine to last them through the month. The other category is for special purchases such as clothing, the implementation of a water supply, cooking pots and pans etc

What really works about the charity is that we are just 4 people, so any decision can be made and actioned with velocity.
